The company " d’Ailleurs "

Is a street theatre company created in Uruguay in 1992,
from the coming together of artists from different horizons.
In September 1994 we based ourselves in France and since that time our theatre and street performances have been seen in the streets,
the alleys, the woods, the squares and various nooks and crannies in more than 20 countries.
Our work is distinguished by the marriage of different cultures and artistic disciplines:
Physical theatre, masks, dance, acrobatics, puppets, music, street theatre and other street arts…
In our “performance-voyages” we work with our characters like the letters of an alphabet which allow us to write their stories.
Each show is adapted according to the town in which it will be performed.
In each performance situation we want our work to resonate in the public arena and use the elements
of the surrounding environment to create our own ephemeral architecture.
We believe that theatre should truly live.
And we try to give and to find pleasure through our performances.
